First Post – head, heart and hands

Every time I start a new blog I feel like I’m obligated to write a “first post”. Do you feel that way too? Maybe it’s just me. Regardless, it’s something that if I don’t do, I will drive myself crazy with regret and emptiness. I will feel like I’ve done it wrong, like I haven’t fully embraced the beginning, or something likewise silly like that. So here I am writing a “first post”.

As I’ve stated on my about page, this blog is for me. For me and my love (borderline obsession) of color. I hope to post original color palettes daily. And by daily I’m talking business-day daily, because even though this blog is for fun I still need my weekend break. Some palettes will be inspired by gorgeous photography, like the ones below, but most will be straight from my head, heart and hands (and my photoshop program).

I have an amazing husband (the man hands in the above photo), a wonderful family, a beautiful home – a blessed life. I’m a winter girl at heart; I love the smell of wood burning in fire-places, watching snow fall, eating tasty peppermint ice-cream, wearing warm scarfs… I could go on and on. I’ll be posting about all of this in parts and pieces. Like they say, the best writers write what they know. I’m not a writer, and honestly I don’t feel like I know all that much, but here I will try. I will release. I will refresh. I will express. I will have fun!

I hope you have fun reading along!
